Title: Wheat... the staff of life Post by: lisamiut on November 11, 2007, 03:55:24 PM I have had SEVERAL reliable sources inform me that next year, wheat prices WILL increase - possibly significantly. This in turn will affect, flour, pastas and rice. If you have the opportunity to find good prices and stock up on these types of items - I WOULD.
GOOD PRICES Flour = $.12 per pound Rice = $.35 per pound Pastas = $.75 per 12 to 16 ounce box/bag Note: I did not say EXCELLENT Prices! Your price point may be different, I am just giving you a heads up on price increases soon. I bought 45 lb. buckets of wheat a little over a month ago for $15.99, I saw the exact same buckets (lehi roller mills brand sold at Maceys) for $26.99. Yikes!
Although I did drive by the Lehi Roller Mill in Lehi, and their November special is a 50 lb. bag of Wheat for $11.99, a good time to stock up!!!
