Title: Wheat Wheat...Where's the Wheat?
Post by: charlin on April 04, 2008, 10:58:26 AM
I have been trying to track down some wheat but it's always sold out quicker than I can get to the store or on backorder.  Costco has had some but it's swept up from the pallets from the truck and never makes it to the shelves.  Lehi Roller Mills has been out for a week.  Does anyone know where I can get my hands on some wheat?

Blue Chip Group in the SLC area has alway had it in stock.  It's worth a try.

I was just at Costco in Lehi this morning and they had a pallet of Lehi Roller Mill Turkey wheat there.  There's not a lot but if you go quick you may have some luck.

How do I get some? Do you have to call and reserve some or just drop by?

You can just stop by the cannery during open hours, fill out a yellow bulk order sheet and then a missionary will help you fill your order.

This may sound a little silly, but what do you do with the wheat?  I know you can grind it for flour, but what else?

Here is the thread to the wheat recipes:

The great deal is that wheat has been proven to last for 30 years (stored in a cool, dry environment). So, even if you are not using it NOW on a regular basis it is something that will be very valuable in the future...
