Title: Good Price for diapers/toilet paper? Post by: mbanford on August 14, 2008, 08:30:19 PM I've been doing this for a few monthes now and still don't know what a good price is for diapers and toilet paper. I have been buying my diapers at wal-mart, I get the Luvs size five box of 96 diapers for 18.70ish. Is that a good deal? I have no clue about toilet paper, I usually get Scotts 12 pack for $6.99 also at Wal-mart. I would love to hear what you all think.

Post by: Christi on August 17, 2008, 05:35:50 PM If you have the $1.50 Huggies coupons and you wait until Walmart has their cases of Huggies on for $18 that makes the diapers a little cheaper (only like 1.5 cents per diaper) than at Costco. Also Costco has coupons every couple of months for $8 off a case of diapers and a case of wipes that makes them an even better deal.

Walgreens has it on for 2 packs for $14, but then you get a coupon for $3 off your next purchase. That's $11 for 24 rolls. Also Maceys has 12 rolls for $6.49 this week.
I bought cloth diapers. The initial outlay was significant, but now I don't spend any money on diapers. I have to do laundry 2 more times a week, so its not free, but I love them. If you're interested I would be happy to tell you about my experience. Before that I bought White Cloud from Walmart. When I compared price per diaper they were cheaper then Sams club or anywhere else. However, sometimes with a coupon I could get Huggies for cheaper. Somehow I am on Huggies mailing list and I get free coupons and an occasional free diaper. |
