These are great to have in your 72 hour kits or to keep in the glove compartment of your vehicles. I found most of the stuff at the dollar store and at a medical supply store.  We just made about 75 of these as Christmas gifts.

The potholder must have the loop in the middle of one of the sides - not in the corner. The rectangle sized ones worked better. We sewed 10 sandwich size baggies - overlapping the ends 1st one on one side then one on another - (bottoms towards center) layering them (we did 5 at a time, layering them then sewing them on the machine and then the other 5 the same way. Then you fold over the potholder, sew a big button on the opposite side as the loop and button it.

They were filled in the separate pockets with:
1. waterproof matches ? box of 32,
a small piece of sand paper
candle (birthday candle)
single edged razor blade.

2. Q tips
Cotton balls.

3. Alcohol swabs
Burn gel
Iodine antiseptic swabs (2)
3 in 1 antibiotic ointment
Hydrocortisone cream
Insect bite swabs (2).

4. 2 needles
Thread  (I found tiny spools at the dollar store or you could wrap thread around a piece of cardboard)
4 buttons
4 safety pins
tiny scissors (bring from home).

5. Band-aids
extra large bandage
Gauze pad (2 pk)
Popsicle stick with medical tape wrapped around each end (finger splint).

6. Rubber gloves (2)
Pair of shoelaces.

7. Pencil (small like golf type)
Paper (1X2 yellow sticky notepad).
Red Cross CPR card
Rubberbands (4).

8. Zip lock bag
Small bar of soap
Emery board.

9. Ibutab advanced pain relief (2)
Aspirin (2)
Extra strength un-aspirin (Tylenol) (2)
Pepto-bismo tablets  (2)
Antihistamine caplets (2).

10. Salt,
Candy (3 pieces)
2 pieces of gum
2 throat lozenges

Other things that could be added:
Tweezers,
adhesive tape,
thermometers
any other kind of medicines you or your family needs.

Take a picture with a digital camera and upload it to a photo sharing site.  Then you can copy the link and paste it in a post.  Hope that's not confusing...or tell me where you uploaded the picture and I will do it for you!  Smiley
