Now is a great time to go through your food items and supply items and determine if they are close to expiration.  There are many food banks that could use donations and if you are not going to use it soon, consider donating the items.  You may have bought items during a "really great deal" and now realize that you or your family don't care for the item.  Contact these locations for more information about what they accept and how to donate.

Items most needed:
Peanut butter
Canned Tuna
Canned beans and chili
Canned stews and soups
100% fruit juice
Powdered milk
Canned fruits and vegetables
Macaroni and Cheese Dinners
Cereals

Most needed non-food items:
Toilet paper
Bar soap
Shampoo
Laundry soap
Disposable diapers
Feminine hygiene products

Also, Watch your kids schools.  My son brought home a flyer yesterday that said they were collecting food and personal items to be donated to the needy.

Oh yeah, forgot about that.  Some schools even run a contest - the ones who donate the most items gets a pizza party or something like that.  One class had over 500 "items" donated - there was A LOT of ramen donated from that class!!!  LOL

I believe in Utah that December 9th is Help Your Neighbor Day or something like that - they are asking for food donations and personal hygine items.  Contact your local church group and see if they are going to participate.  Great time to rotate through your items - and with the Smith's double coupon deal, we can afford to give a lot!
