It seems like a great time to explain the term "Piggybacking" (Doubling up/Stacking coupons)to everyone!

There are many sites out there that promote "Piggybacking" so I'll explain-

You can only use ONE manufacturers coupon per product!

Remember you CAN use a store coupon and a manufacturer's coupon together!  Smiley

Here are examples of "tricky" coupon uses that you might run into.....

Examples:

A product is on sale B1G1FREE - B1G1FREE mfr coupon = Buy 1 get 2 free. You have to actually "BUY ONE" (NOT 2 FREE Products)

You buy A-1 Steak Sauce and use a $1.00/1 coupon, and you buy beef and use a $1.00/beef when you buy A-1 coupon! (You could use one coupon or the other.  But, you would have to buy 2 bottles of A-1 to use both coupons.  Both coupons require a new bottle purchase! If you think to yourself, what is required for each coupon to be used, make sure you only use 1 coupon per product.)

You buy 10 items and get a $5 instant rebate - (In actuality the rebate is a form of a mfr. cpn so you may or may not be able other coupons as well! Depends on the store, though most allow it!)

In the end, it is up to the manufacturers and stores for the final say! These are simply general rules to follow.  I hope this helps.  Hopefully I have explained it well enough!

I'm new at this. Can you piggyback a loadable coupon and a printed manufacturer's coupon?

Yes you can.  You can combine your loadable coupon with your manufactures coupon for the same item.

The only store I know that lets you load coupons is Smiths. Hopefully more will start soon. Wink

I seems like Smith's considers the loadable coupons more of a store coupon.

Thanks. I tried it today at Smith's and it worked. I saved $4.00 on pull-ups! ($2.00 loadable and $2.00 mnfc.)
