What items can be frozen or have you frozen? There are some things I have found in stores that are such a great deal and I would like to buy them in large quantities to stock up, but I am not sure how they would be after being frozen. Sooooo, what freezes well?

My kids love the Go-gurts frozen. I have also frozen chocolate chips, nuts, fruit (berries--makes sure that you put them in freezer bags), etc.

Even though the tubes of Pillsbury dough & cinnamon rolls say "do not freeze" I have frozen them and thawed them out in the fridge for a few days. The rose fine and tasted fine!
Casseroles also freeze well - potatoes do not reconstitue well, but everything else I have tried has worked very well. Good Luck!

I have frozen almost everything mentioned before along with...
over ripe banana to use in banana bread later
butter
yeast
shredded zucchini - I package it measured for my recipes
flour
cake
bread - regular and sweet breads
marshmallows - we only use them frozen in hot chocolate or to eat crunchy, I have never tried to thaw them out and use them.
hot dogs

Sliced cheese works good too. In the past I have bought the big package from Costco (didn't see it there last time
) and I'll break it into 4 sections - freeze three and put one in the fridge.

I buy green peppers when they are on sale and chop or slice them to use later. Good for stir-fry or Chicken Ala King recipes.

Thanks ladies! I have a fear of buying something, freezing it, then realizing it doesn't freeze well, thus being out on the money I spent on the item. Your lists help!
