It's another GIRL!!!

« on: November 28, 2007, 03:29:56 PM »

I am looking for some cute and inexpensive gifts for my kids teacher.  Anyone have any ideas?  I once did some little buckets full of Hershey kisses with a little note attached saying something about a bucket of kisses (it was a cute little note/poem).  Those would be really cheap right now with Walgreen's Hershey sale.  TIA

Personally, I usually make a blockbuster basket.

1 Blockbuster Popcorn Bucket

Fill with lots of Theatre size treats, Cookies, Candy I buy on sale  Wink and a Blockbuster Gift Card. Wrap with clear cellophane and tie with a bow.

The card reads:  "I hope you have a "Blockbuster" holiday with your family.

It's different than the candles, lotions etc.. that teachers always get and they really seem to appreciate it!

Cute ideas, thanks! I was at Walgreen's today and the candy was pretty depleted. They had a sign by it saying that they will run the Hershey special until the end of December. Just in case you want to do the kisses thing. love3

One of my favovorite ideas is to give a cake mix or brownie mix with a note that reads:  "Roses are red,Christmas is sweet, I'm too busy, make your own stinkin treat!"  It's always a hit and really puts alot of hassle and worry on the back burner.....

I was trying to find a cute Christmas poem to go with the big giant Candy bars I thought I would share what I found.

Dashing from the malls
With your groceries yet to buy.
Lessons, work and housecleaning,
Life's so crazy! Why?

Bells on your telephone ring,
The machine will take the call.
We have not time for family or friends,
It drives us up the wall.

How are you? How's your life?
We really want to know.
Hope you're ready for Christmas.
Now maybe it will snow.

A day or two ago,
We thought we'd make a treat,
For all our specials friends,
A Christmas gift to eat.

Our intentions were top notch.
But our schedules would not budge.
Hence, here's this years' edition
of homemade

CHRISTMAS FUDGE

I just used the last two paragraphs and printed then out on a label to stick on the candy bars with a Cute bow!
