It's another GIRL!!!

« on: July 31, 2008, 05:50:10 PM »

I am looking for a place/places that take inexpensive pictures.  I have done Sears, but I don't really care for their photographers. I don't think they do a very good job, but usually will be able to get 1 pose that I like.  I also don't think they have the best customer service.  I usually just get the $9.99 package cause I am cheap Wink and I don't like more than 1 pose.  There are other places that have similar deals.  Are there places that are good?  I have taken my kids to the expensive places, but usually don't have any better luck, so I will stick with the cheap places. Wink

After 17 years with four kids, we have never had a bad experience with Kiddie Kandids.  They always have great poses and have been very patient.  My kids are now too old - the school pics are all I do, but if I had a grandchild (give me several years, please) I'd head back there.

My husband takes inexpensive pictures.  He just started a business "The Whole Picture."  I don't want to be trying to advertise for him or anything because I'm not sure that's appropriate, but if you would like more info you can call him - Clark @ 801-360-1442.  He will travel anywhere between SLC and Payson for free.  He can do outdoor or indoor.

JCPenney has really improved - their aim is to be direct competition for Kiddie Kandids. I love KK but the prices are a bit out of control! You can find a coupon for free sitting and 3.99 sheets online for Penneys. My SIL got some awesome pictures there, and that's where I'm headed next week. HTH

I have always had good luck with Target. The photographers have been great and the quality is excellent.

We have had good luck finding people in the neighborhood (who are photographers) who will take as many pictures as you want for a sitting fee and then give you a cd with the images on it to do with what you want.  I have had better pictures and a better experience with that than anywhere.  I bet if you ask around you will find someone (like a stay at home mom) who does that (or something similar.)  Smiley

It means Personal Message.  You click on the person's name or the green scroll under their name and send them a note.  Smiley

Portarait Innovations has a 9.97 package you can use the deal every 3 months too  - and I love their photos!!!  They are very clear and take them with a digital camera so they aren't always straight on you can get mor variety, I'm afraid I haven't taken them anywhere else since because I love the clarity of their photots - they also don't have them up high standing on something - like kiddie kandids - who I do like... but I like not having to worry more - everything is done from the floor -you can check them out at portraitinnovations.com -the only one I know of here so far is in provo

The Target in Orem does a great job and they're the same prices as JCPenneys & Sears. There's also coupons for Target in the inserts. Wal-Mart is cheap, but I had a bad experience with the one in AF and will never go back. I guess you get what you pay for. Smiley

FYI - Kiddie Kandids used to give kids a free 8x10 photo on their birthday up to age 5, but they have bumped it up to age 10! (Last I heard, you may want to double check...)

Yes, Kiddie Kandids does the free 8x10 up until they are 10. I just did it for my 9 year old. They do NOT sent out the coupon for it after they are 5yr, so you just have to go in and do it 30 days before or 30 days after your child's bday. And sometimes I've even forgotten since I haven't gotten the coupon and it's been like 2 months (or more) after and they've been nice enough to still do it for me (luckily for me, but I'm sure it depends on whose working).

I love Kiddie Kandids for their free 8x10 and then they email me the pictures. I don't ever purchase the pics since they are so expensive (though that's hard since they always turn out so cute!).

What are the prices like for Portrait Innovations, aside from the $9.95 package deal?  Thanks!
