has anyone had any luck finding an inexpensive fruit stand or farmers market?  I go to the one at Thanksgiving Point on fridays but there isn't a lot there all the time.  I would love any kind of fresh produce.  Thanks

I would like to know also. Last year my husband and I would go to Murray Park's farmer's market. It had lots of vendors and well stocked. We went last week and it wasn't there. Is it to early for  farmer's markets?

there is one across from costco up in AF that was suppose to open again in august I haven't driven up there again but its worth a look if your in the area - its a building not a stand so you'd have more luck its just up from the costco - its your first right after costco and you can't miss it

That is Mitchells and it is a bit expensive.  I only go there if there is no other choice.  Peaches were about $18 a half bushel last year.  I thought that was a bit too much.

If you are in the Orem/Lindon area, I use the Utahvalleyproduce.com  They are just a local couple that matches up small farmers with people wanting to buy. You register (free) on the website, and then check back regularly to see if they have any produce that you want. They are small, so you go to the lady's home in Lindon for pick-up, and even though you "check out" online, they don't take online payments - you just bring a check or cash when you pick up.

I have been very pleased with the quality - so far this season I bought apricots for 55 cents a pound and sweet cherries for $2 a pound. You do have to buy in certain quantities (they call them "shares")

HTH!

There is a farmer's market in Provo every Saturday.  It is in the park on 5th West and Center.  I haven't shopped there this year, so I couldn't speak to the prices, but they seemed reasonable last year.
