Hi,
Can anyone tell me what a good deal on Powdered Milk is and where they like to buy it?  What about powdered eggs?

Thanks!

Still hoping someone can shed some light on what a good price for powdered milk is and good brand.  I saw Morning Moos at Walmart in Lehi today for about $71 for 37 lbs.  Said it would make 50 gallons.  It is very affordable ($1.42/gallon), but is this the best deal I can get?  And a good brand?  What is a good price please.  Any help is appreciated!

Also, if anyone can give me the same kind of info for powdered eggs.  Thanks again!

I think that's a pretty good price.  If you buy it directly from the Blue Chip food group (the local manufacturer) it would cost about 2.75 a gallon.  Morning Moo is a nondairy product and stores longer than dairy based powdered milk.  We store Morning Moo and Country Cream and really like them both.  You might consider buying a #10 can of it before investing so much to see if your family likes it.  By the way, it's much better if you make it the night before.  Good luck.

I just bought some milk from the Lindon Cannery 25lbs for $37, so 50lbs would be around $74...and better still you don't pay sales tax! Smiley

I STRONGLY recommend trying a #10 can first before storing a lot of powdered milk of any brand.  It really is impossible to tell you which brand is best because it really is individual tastes.  I personally think that I will store more chocolate milk because it masks the icky taste of powdered milk and we will still get the nutrition - and chocolate!

Invite some friends over for a tasting party - make it a fun event and more neighbors also can make an informed decision.

All Blue Chip products are AWESOME. They've been doing this a LONG time, and Macey's will have better prices than even their own outlet store.  I've been "abused as a child" when it comes to the torture of nasty powdered milk. The Blue Chip products will totally change your mind. Blue Chip also makes the Morning Moos brand. Their chocolate milk tastes almost as good as a Chocolate Chug.  Their powdered milk is on sale this week for only 8.99 for a #10 can. My husband made me chocolate cookies tonight, I made up a thing of powdered milk and drank it immediately. I couldn't believe how good it tastes!
