If you've never tried freeze-dried fruit, you won't believe how yummy it is. Macey's carries the excellent Blue Chip brand and the freeze dried fruit can be eaten just as is and taste yummy, like cereal puffs, or eaten reconstituted and taste BETTER than frozen. They are all on sale this week at Macey's case lot sale. I really like the pineapple and strawberries.  When they are on sale like this, they are actually LESS expensive per serving than if you were to buy them fresh at the store. (The same goes for their freeze-dried red and green pepper cans--which are also on sale this week. This stuff is IDEAL for your food storage AND everyday needs as well. Once you open the cans, they are guaranteed to last another 18 months for taste and nutrition purposes, minimum.
