Wahoo!  Just ordered mine and it worked exactly as stated about.  With tax it was $59.77!  Subtract my Kohl's Kash and it's really $49.77....I'm feeling pretty good right now!  Thank you for posting this!  I've always wanted a Food Saver!

I'm interested in WOC Diva's opinion as well.  I'm also wondering if this same machine came on sale awhile back for $59.99 instead of $79.99 . . . I think I remember reading that post awhile ago???  When I went to buy it back then, it was no longer available.  So, I'm interested in knowing if this is about as "good as you can get" without going through the hassle of bidding on Ebay.

Definitely not "as good as you can get". If you keep waiting and searching, you will find another for this price or cheaper, but it's still a great deal...

I DON"T KNOW HOW I (KATIEDID) PUT MYSELF IN THE QUOTE....but here is what I said:

While I agree it is not the very top of the line, it is still a good pretty good deal.  AND lots better than the first one that I purchased and have been using since college...Which is OLD now, but still working.  Finally gave in and bought a new one with all the bells and whistles.  However, just because the current Kohls one is not the very top of the line at a rock bottom price, anyone who has already decided to purchase it should still feel good!  Have fun with it!  It will save you lots of money and make up for anything you "COULD" have saved by waiting for a better deal to come along.  KatieDid Wink

Sorry, I hope I didn't make anyone who already purchased this feel bad about their decision. This is a great deal!! I was just saying if you want to wait it out, then another deal always comes along.

Well, I have some good new/bad news on this FoodSaver.  It came today and I was all excited.  Opened it up and then tried to seal something.  Vacuumed GREAT....but it never sealed.  Resorted to the instructions, thinking I might be doing something wrong...Nope.  Called FoodSaver and nope, it's not sealing.  I am sending in my new unit to be replaced.  That's the bad news.  The GOOD news is....I am getting a 2460 since they don't have the 850 anymore.  Which has more options...such as a seal only, or two levels of vacuum.  So that $59.00 -$10.00 Kohls Cash is looking pretty good right now, since I am getting a newer model than originally purchased.  The only bad, is I have to wait....again.  *sigh*  I can be patient!  I can be patient....I can be patient.  Yes, I'm trying to convince myself, but in the long run, I am happy!    Smiley
