I freeze them whole in the skin to use for banana bread. I thaw them on the counter or on defrost in the microwave. When I am ready to put them on the batter, I cut off the top and let them slide out. The kids love to squeeze them out and watch them plop into the bowl.

If I a freezing them for smoothies, I peel and slice them on a cookie sheet and freeze them. When they are frozen, I put them into freezer bags and then I take out what I need and put the rest back in the freezer.
