I have been doing couponing for a few years now, and latley it just wears me out. I find that I have to be major organized before I go shopping, I can never go with my kids... just way to exhausting, and at least half of the time the really good deals are all gone.. so I just did all the above with little reward. Now...I have to find time to shop again, when it works for the family..without taking kids, and hope that the stuff will be there. Coupon clipping can get overwhelming as well. If I am behind.. what a mess. I know the savings are great, but I am very busy with kids, work, my kids projects & activities and home. Am I doing something wrong? Do I really have to get up at 5:00 to get the sales? Any advice for a "Burnt Out" Coupon mom.

First don't give up !!

Remember even if you only save $10.00 its $10.00 you keep in your pocket. Then if you re behind on cutting your coupons, try to go through them and take what are high value or family favorites. Sometimes a fresh start can really help. As for organization use the shoppin wizard, make sure you print your shopping list for stores you will go to regularly.

If a sale is hot don't stress your self out. Ask them when they restock and go on those days. If they are out remember to get a rain check so you can get it next time you make it to that store.I enjoy shopping late in the when my kids are in bed and the stores quiet.Or consider trading of babysitting/shopping with a friend then you can both get a great deal and enjoy some quiet when you shop.

Don't stress out if you miss a sale. There are so many sale every week just do your best. Cheesy

Honestly, if you need a break, take a break.  It is work, it is a job, and it isn't easy when you have a family to take care of as well.  Keep reading this site - sometimes newbies can have so much motivation that their inspiration may help you get your "coupon mo-jo" back.

Read the emails and only shop when you absolutely need something.  There is a time and season for everyone with couponing... and it isn't a crime to relax for a bit.  Keep your chin up - many are rooting for you!

I hear ya.  It is a lot of work.  In fact sometimes I'm happy when I get the ads every Tuesday and there aren't any great deals...course, someone always finds one though Smiley  I'd suggest cutting back.  Just stick to the things you really need and just go to one store for a little while, and just check the deals going on at that one store.  Deals come around all the time.  You definately have to do what works for you.  My husband is in school in the evenings so I basically take my kids everywhere I go, so I really have to pick and choose what deals I want to get in on because I know I'll be taking kids with me.  And sometimes I feel guilty carting them around with me too, it's not always fun for them.  Good luck!
