A lot of times you can get trial size toiletres (Shampoo, conditioner, soap, deodorant, etc) for free with coupons.  And they would be the perfect size for a 72 hour kit!!!  Keep your eyes on your coupons (look for ones that don't have a size specification one it) and the trial size stuff!

I know this might sound a little crazy, but our family each has a gas mask. They are military issued and sold @ most "survival" or "prepardness" stores. They weren't too expensive, I think $20.00 each, but something that hopefully will never need to be used or replaced.
