Title: How do I get a coupon from the coupon index Post by: jenbellwork on May 04, 2008, 10:52:00 PM I see coupons in the index that I want, and it says where to find them, but what if I no longer have that newspaper? For example, I really want the $10 off Scrubbing Bubbles shower cleaner from S 3/30, but I don't have the paper from that date. Is there a place online I can go, or here on the website where I can print off the coupon (or an online site for old SmartSource coupons?) Sorry if this is an obvious question. I'm new to couponing!

Unless you can find a friend who will share with you, I think you are probably out of luck. Occasionally if you go to that product's website there will be a printable coupon, but often it will be for a different ammount.

However, the coupon you are looking for came in the newspaper, so unless you saved it you are out of luck. We save and organize each week of coupons so we have them until we expire. (Only cut the coupons, that if the product were a family favorite, cheap or free your family would use it!)

In order to get the coupons, you will need to get the paper. It usually takes a couple of months to get the majority of the coupons that are needed for the sales, but the wait is well worth it. I save a TON every month.

As stated earlier in this page, the majority of coupons are obtained two ways-in the Sunday papers and by printing them online. (Occasionally you can also get them in various magazines or companies will mail them to you.) If you were referring to the Malt-O-Meal cereal coupons, they were some you could print by going to their website. The coupon index states where the coupons were located, SS 8-25/11 means they were located in the Sunday paper Smart Source insert on Aug 25 on page 11. It takes a short itme to get used to coupon language, but as Stea said earlier, you will save a TON of money by doing this. I went to Albertson's last night and bought $140 worth of groceries and paid $19!!!! :D :D :D I realize my response was too slow for whatever you were trying to buy before midnight last night. Sorry! Hopefully that item is still on sale this week or will be on sale again soon. ;) |
