Title: Thanksgiving Point Memberships Post by: stea on June 19, 2008, 12:00:46 PM I am thinking about getting a membership for my family, but want to know what those of you think that have them or have had them. Also, do they ever go on "sale"? TIA
Title: Re: Thanksgiving Point Memberships Post by: hidr on June 19, 2008, 01:38:50 PM My Mom got a Grandparents pass. It meant that all fifteen of her grandkids could get in to things free and her children could get in for half price. It certainly got used enough to more than pay for the pass.
Title: Re: Thanksgiving Point Memberships Post by: ktanne2639 on June 19, 2008, 02:17:32 PM the yearly property pass will never go on sale. It is 100% tax deductible though. If you go with your family just a few times, it pays for itself. It is $10 per adult for the Gardens, $10 for the Dinosaur museum, and $3.50 per person for the farm. It quickly adds up if you have a large family. You can get individual passes for the farm- $35 for the year, Dinosaur Museum- $100, or Gardens- $100 per year, if you only visit 1 particular area.
We go there every week. On Mondays there are family night activities for all the areas. There is usually a craft and treat, too. It is a nice way to spend family night. Since I live near the area, I don't mind spending $175 for the pass to keep it up and looking nice. Sometimes, that is the best sale of all. Title: Re: Thanksgiving Point Memberships Post by: Leah P. on June 19, 2008, 02:18:23 PM I have one and we love it! It allows us to go to all of the attractions including, the Dinosaur Museum, Farm Country, the children's garden, and the gardens. If anyone comes with us they get 50% of their admission. Also you get 10% off any food items you may buy. It also comes in handy for barnyard boo, and other events they have because usually you get to get into them for either free or half off.
Hope this helps! Title: Re: Thanksgiving Point Memberships Post by: Christi on June 19, 2008, 04:38:55 PM I feel like it is more than worth it. Three and under are free so I just got a duo pass since my husband hardly ever comes with us and my two kids and I go at least once a week all summer. Farm Country is open way into the fall and the Dinosaur Musuem is open all year so when your kids are getting cabin fever it is a life saver during the winter. Hope that helps.
:D Title: Re: Thanksgiving Point Memberships Post by: mama mia on June 19, 2008, 09:48:18 PM This is my second year to get one...honestly I have the children's Gateway, the aquarium, and Thanksgiving point memberships. I DEFINATELY use the TP one the most since there is such a variety. I have a 5 and a 2 1/2 year old so I've just been getting the "single" pass and 1 "children's" pass. WAY cheaper that way for us and hubby is half price when he does come :) The have great activities scheduled throughout the summer! We usually go once a week as well.
