Title: Fireworks
Post by: MomOf4 on July 01, 2008, 01:13:04 PM
I just wanted some opinions on fireworks. Where have you found the best deals? At the stands, the stores, the B1G1's, etc. My kids are getting old enough now they're not content with the sparklers and pops but I am so cheap that I want to get the most for my money. Please share  ;) TIA

We were amazed this year - we bought our standard fireworks at a grocery store stand (a tent in the parking lot), then went into the store (Allens on STate Street in Orem/Lindon) and the SAME fireworks, SAME manufacturer were almost 1/2 the price! We just chalked it up to experience, but we will know where to go next year!

The ones in the tents are marked so high they are not a good deal even with the buy1 get 1 free. I have always liked macys or harmons evne wal-marts aren't that bad.

One classic example--I was pricing parachutes for our ward breakfast on the 4th.  Yesterday I went to the tent in Macey's parking lot in Spanish Fork--a package of 6 was $3.99.  Inside Macey's the same exact package was $2.99.  However, it does make me wish I had bought them at the Ream's in Springville last week when I saw them for $2.49.   :-\
