I was just looking at these and I really wish they had the Read and Write Leap Pad in stock.  My daughter is ready to move up from My First Leap Pad to the R & W Leap Pad.  I'm not sure if I should jump on the book sale (with free shipping) or wait until I get the Leap Pad that goes with it.  If you have the R & W Leap pad, do you like it?  Should I jump on the book sale?  TIA

I ordered 7 books for $30 plus free shipping. Thanks for posting that for me Amy! We have 3 Leap Pads, one first year and 2 "regular ones", and my kids love them. The carrying case is awesome if you have a lot of the books. To Nelljepp, if I were you, I would grab these books while you can. I don't remember them ever being this cheap before. Then hopefully you can find a deal on the R&W Leap Pad. Are they 20% off?Huh? My older kids still enjoy playing with the first year pad. Best investments ever!

The award winning Easy Reader Phonics Kits (1 & 2) are marked down to only $6 (regularly $19.99).  Each kit has 4 books, making each book only $1.50.  Free shipping code WT8VFS, still works.

I forgot the link earlier, but here it is:

I got the read and write learning pad, plus 7 books, for $51.61.  I've never tried the leap pad systems before, but it seems like you all like them.  Is the read and write learning pad considered the 'regular pad'?  I got confused on which pad you buy for which books.  But, customer service said that the books I bought should work with that pad.  Which one do people typically have?  Thanks everyone!

I originally bought the My First Leap Pad for my daughter and loved it.  I then bought the Little Touch for my son, but didn't like that one as well.  I've heard several good things from friends and family about the Read and Write one that I just got for my daughter since she is ready to move up and then my son can have the My First Leap Pad.  I figured I'd always get the read and write one, and having the deal on the books makes it so much better.  I spent a lot, but I got a lot more for my money waiting for the sale, and getting the Leap Pad new, I'm sure it will last through both kids.  I think it's a good investment.

We got the Little Touch when my daughter was only a few months old as a Christmas gift. The idea with that one is that you sit with really little ones and use it together. She was never the type that wanted to hold still while I read to her, so I sort of gave up on it. I never bought any extra books for it. Now she is 2 1/2 and she can use it on her own so we got books for it. I like that it had a built in lap pad because she mainly uses it for the long car trips we take each year.

Sorry I meant to include the link above.  I'll add it above too, just in case.
