Welcome!  We are glad you are joining us.   Cheesy

The Organizer is your shopping and coupon list that is created when you go on the Shopping Wizard.  For instance, if you click on Albertson's, 50%, then search, it will bring up all the things at Albertson's that are 50% off or more this week.  You then will click on the plus signs next to the items that you want to purchase and when you are finished go back to the top and click on Organizer.  It then creates a list of the items you clicked on as well as a list of the coupons needed to get the best possible prices.  You can then click on other stores and add to your list.  It is great because the list is customized for you and you only print off what you want to purchase.  I LOVE the Shopping Wizard!

Ask if you have any more questions.

I have a question. How are the rebates at walgreens? I notice that there are always good deals there with rebates. I just seem to always mess up on rebates, so in the end it wasn't that great of a deal. Thanks-

The rebate program at Walgreens is good - not as great as RiteAid, in my opinion - but good.  The reason I like RiteAid more is that you can enter the receipt information online and they total up your rebate amount for you.  With Walgreens you have to put in all the information yourself and be sure that nothing is missing PLUS you then have to remember to mail it by a certain date.  They won't give you the money back if it's past the mail-in date.  I also don't like how in their easysaver catalog it says to buy $20 worth of Huggies to receive $5 back...then they put their huggies on sale for $9.99.  You buy two which makes the total $19.98 and you're off by 2 cents so you can't get the rebate without buying another package of huggies for $9.99.  So you spend an extra $9.99 to get $5 back.  Not really worth it.

For the longest time, I liked their 10% giftcard program where if you received your rebate money back in the form of a Walgreens GC they gave you an additional 10% back.  The problem I found is that they didn't have anything I wanted to buy for a couple of months so there was no reason to shop there (even with the GC) so I would much rather just get back the rebate money in cash.  That way I can spend it at stores that have the deals I need/want.

Also, make sure that you make a copy of everything you send in!!  I never do and it would have been good to have a couple of times.  There were things they said that I never turned in receipts for, and I was positive I did.  I double check everything.

I never shopped at Walgreens until I started this coupon thing and I'm not familiar with their rebate process.

So, I purchased the softsoap body wash & the fructis shampoo at Walgreens for the rebates so they'll end up being free. The cashier said that I could buy more than one for the rebate, but it had to be in different transactions. So could I send in the 2 separate receipts and get 2 of each item for free, or is it only 1 item of each for free?

And can you only send in 1 receipt for rebates/month?

You will need to check the EasySaver Catalog for details, but for the most part, you are only allowed 1 rebate per item.  I have never seen a free item that you can do more than 1 rebate on.  You can have as many rebate items on a receipt as you want.  You just have to be sure that if you have to purchase more than one item for a rebate (ie. buy 3 get $5), all the items for the rebate have to be on one receipt in order to be valid.  Walgreen's will only honor 1 submission per person/household each month. You can send in more than 1 receipt per rebate period because there will be times when you don't buy all of the rebate items in one trip.  However, keep all receipts for that month in a safe place (so you don't misplace them!!), make copies of each of them like Stea said [very important!] and then send all of your receipts together along with the piece of paper from the easy saver catalog to Walgreen headquarters.  You only need to mail in the rebate once per month.

I'm wondering if the cashier told you wrong about getting the item for free twice.  I understand it to be 1 rebate per household.  So I don't think you can purchase the item twice (in 2 transactions) and get two rebates because it's coming from the same household.

Is there a place here that I can put in my coupons that I have?  Or does no one understand what I mean? lol  So say if I have a coupon for pillsbury for 1.00 off is there a place on here where I can input it so it will save it so I dont have to go searching through all my coupons.   Also does anyone know where I can get a 3" Zippered binder for a good deal

I don't think you can put in the coupons you have and save it anywhere, but I'm not positive about that.  I think the idea is that you make your shopping list and put in the coupons you have so it is all together when you go shopping.  As far as the 3" binder.  I got one at Staples back in the fall for under $5 with their back to school clearance.  I don't know if they still have any on clearance, but that is where I would look. Good luck!

I got mine for $6 at Big Lots, American Fork location.  I read on here somewhere that they are at the Provo location as well.

It sounds like you need to attend Amy's savvy class.  She explains her method of obtaining, maintaining and using coupons.  Her class is extremely helpful for new couponers and even those who have been using other methods of couponing.  I highly recommend her class!

Amy, do you know when your next class will be??  Smiley

I bought a new binder a couple of weeks ago at Office Max in Provo.  It is big enough that I can zip it closed!  hello2 hello2 hello2  It also has a shoulder strap and a handle on the outside.  I LOVE IT!  I think it was $15- worth every penny to me!  They had a bunch of great colors.  I'm sure they still have them.

I will have to try Big Lots I didn't even think of that.  I went to Office Max in American Fork but they had none, and a Whole Bunch of other places.  Everywhere online I went were sold out!

Yeah if I could find out more about the class I will try to attend.  It's hard though with 5 kids and a husband that works out of state A LOT. Smiley

Thanks for the Help!
