I am very new to shopping savvy as well.  I have purchased a few items at Rite-aid and received a rebate check.

However, I was under the impression it would a standard money check.  What I received was a "check" for any future purchase at Rite-aid to be discounted for face value of this check.

Did I get the wrong type of check?  Is there a way to get a standard check so that I can spend the money where I want?

Thanks.

You can cash it at the bank, or use it at Rite-Aid

I went to Office Max in AF and they had a z-175 case it binder with a shoulder strap and 2 ring binder-so total of 2.5" on clearance for 6.50. It was the last one, but you may want to call other Office Max's or Staples to see if they have any on clearance.

The Office Max in AF did have a couple of dual case it binders left, but there wasn't a price tag on them. Hope that helps.

The monthly Single Check Rebate check is a normal check that you can cash at the bank.

Maybe the one you received was from the December Gift of Savings. "Spend $25-$50 get $5.00 gift card, Spend $51-$100 get $10.00 gift card.  Spend over $100 get $25 gift card."  The "gift card" was actually a paper check that was for a future purchase at Riteaid.

If you qualified for any of the Single Check Rebates, you will get a separate check.  Does that help?
