Rite Aid is GREAT!  All you have to do is enter a few numbers from your receipt online and then request a check at the end of the month.  Walgreens isn't as easy, but often worth it.  Just make sure you copy everything you send into them. 

you can track your walgreens rebate status online by your address and if they miss something........ they have been great when I have called them - the only advice I have is if they miss something and you call make sure you request which way you want your rebate / check or card reload, they don't necessarily send you the same you might have originally requested as they are correcting an error

Yes I have send it in late and have always gotten my rebate back .  Most rebates specify the exact date that you must send them in by.  Walgreens on the other hand says "Please" have your rebates postmarked by such and such date.  They are pretty good about that.  (Just be smart about it still-and don't send other rebates in late)

The most important thing to remember about rebates is to follow their instructions to the T.  Always read the fine print, and always copy your submission.  If they don't send you your rebate by the specified time, just give them a call and they will work with you.  You can save a heck of a lot of money with rebates!
