I have a question. I was looking through the Smith's deals this week, and I noticed that Tombstone Pizzas were 50% off($2.50).  I know I've seen them on sale at a better price, but this is still a pretty good price.  However, it didn't even have one ! by it.  I wanted to know why?  The best price I've ever seen these pizzas at is $2, so shouldn't 2.50 have at least one ! ?   Could you explain why at least half of the products on sale at 30-40% aren't marked with any !! at all? Thanks, Tina

I NEVER met a sale I didn't like!

Also, sometimes I may miss things or simply not believe the product is worth the money.  When I send out emails, I base them on my personal price points - the point at which a product is at a price I am willing to pay for it!  However, everyone has their own price point.  If $2.50 for you is a good price point for tombstone pizza then buy it.

My price point is never final, just simply how I feel about pricing and products through experience.  I personally don't care for "cardboard" pizzas, so my price point is definitely lower than yours.

Just as a note: 4 times over the last year Tombstone pizza has been on sale for $1.75 or less.
Therefore my ranks for Tombstone are approximately as follows

$1.50-$1.75 = WOW
$1.80-$2.00 = !!!

Hope that helps!

Thanks to both of you. I didn't understand the price point thing.  So really most of what you mark is either a !!! or a WOW, and you don't often bother marking ! or !!, because it's not a good enough deal.  Is that accurate?  I'm still learning.  Thanks for being patient.

Thats right, Amy does not bother marking ! or !! because she would not buy it at that price, it is not a good enough deal for her.  But like she said it might be a good deal for you.
A "Price Point" is the price that is a "Good Deal" to you so for example:
Cereal for some people $2.00 a box is a great deal so that is the price that they will go out and stock up on it where for me it has to be less then $1 for me to think its a good deal.  So less then a $1 is my price point on cereal.
Or Toothpaste $.50 is an awesome deal but I know that I can get it for FREE so while you may go and pick it up I would not because my price point for toothpaste is FREE.

I hope this helps I know it is confusing but you will catch on but until then keep asking questions!  We are here to help!!

I've decided that my price points should be the same as Amy's and Kathy's, since they have more experience.  I'm trying to buy Free or really cheap items to stock up on, and the other prices for items I need at the time.   Of course, I'm new at this also, so I'll let you know if it works.  Smiley
