Hey everyone!

I'm needing some help on understanding more about catalinas and how they work.  I went to Smith's for the wonderful sale they are having on their General Mills items, and ended up getting back 5 catalinas, each for 2.00 off my next purchase of 5 boxes of General Mills cereal.

Can I use these with manufacturer's coupons or do they have to be used by themselves?  What is generally the best way to use these to make your dollar really stretch?

Thanks for all the help everyone has been giving me as I continue to learn the ropes of couponing!  Smiley

If the Catalina is a coupon and not $ (Like $5 off your next shopping order) then you cannot combine with another mfr. cpn, because they already are a mfr cpn.  The catalina should say on the top Manufacturers Coupon.  Does that make sense?

I have problems doing this at my smiths - any one else had this problem?  They won't let me use both so I try to only use mine at albertsons - because they will take anyones no hassle Smiley

When you get a Catalina that is a coupon, look at the top and if it says "Manufacture Coupon", you can NOT use it with another manufacture coupon.  You can only use 1 manufacture coupon per item (unless you have to purchase more in order to use the coupon).  Just because it prints out at the register and may be store specific (ie. to be redeemed at Smiths, Albertsons etc.) it does NOT make it a store coupon.  HTH

I'm a little confused now.  I understand now that a Catalina can't be combined with another coupon if it says 'Manufacturer Coupon' on it.  However, can someone clarify this sentence that was posted earlier.

"Just because it prints out at the register and may be store specific (ie. to be redeemed at Smiths, Albertsons etc.) it does NOT make it a store coupon.  HTH"

I'm not understanding what this means exactly.  Does that mean it can be used at ANY store because the words Manufacturers Coupon is printed at the top?  Does that make it just like the ones we get in the paper, except for the fact that it printed out at the store instead?

Sorry I'm a little slow on the draw with this.  Just trying to make sense of all of this stuff...I'm still a 'newbie'.   Cheesy

It depends on the store/cashier if they will take them from other stores.  They do not have to but some do.  YMMV
