I need to take my son to the dentist....I have a slight phobia so I want to make sure I find a really good one.  I live in PG, but American Fork, Lehi or Orem would be fine too.

They have to accept Medicaid too.

Our family dentist isn't specifically pediatric, but they are really good with the kids. Barry Family Dental Group in Orem, Dr. James Barry and his son, Dr. Dave. My son just had 2 fillings this morning, they didn't need to numb him, just gave him "laughing gas" and he was great.  They have a good "chairside manner", explain the instruments without being scary.  The have a fish tank, toys and videos in the waiting room.  In the office, they offer CD selections to relax you/drown out the noise.  They have Monsters Inc and some other kid oriented titles.  Not sure about the billing, but their staff is very knowledgeable about benefits. HTH

My 4 kids go to Dr Scott Jensen. My oldest son had to have some major dental work when he was 3 and Dr Jensen was amazing. All of my kids love going to the dentist. It's a little more pricey than non-pediatric dentists if you don't have insurance(but totally worth it!). His phone is 492-1346 and he's located in AF by the hospital. His office has video games/books/club house with movies playing in the waiting room. Then back in the area there is TV's in the ceiling and the staff is all amazing. I've seen them calm down some pretty nervous kids (and parents!) I've been super impressed. Hope that helps.

I love my kids ped dentist he is excellent and very talkative with the parents and children he tells you what he is going to do and shows you and the child the pproblem in the mouth he is flexible and wonderful!! his name is Jared Pearson in Lehi and his phone number is 766-2111 you will absolutely love him guarnteeed!!!!!

I take my kids to Scott Jensen (Timpanogas Pediatric Dentistry) as well and just love him AND his staff.  It seems like I never am really happy with everyone in an office, but have been there.  We have been going to him for the past 2 years (since we moved here).  I guess I really lucked out on that one cause I just went through the phone book and found him that way.  They are fast and efficient.  Even my little 2 yr old will sit and let him check her teeth (and even let them to ex-rays and cleanings!!).  My kids have never had to have any work done other than the regular cleanings, so I don't know anything about how fillings or anything like that.  When they are done, they get the coolest little goodie bags.  Charactor toothbrushes and floss, toothpaste, a sticker and a prize.  And he does accept Medicaid. My kids have been going to Dr. Don Gifford for probably the last 17 years or so.  He is wonderful with kids!  He is located in Provo--I don't remember what the place is called, but it's in the general area of Shopko and Movies 8.  His phone number is 377-6400.  My kids have had teeth pulled but no other issues and they all have had very positive experiences with him.  He has a wonderful staff that is great with kids and are really good at explaining things to me.  I would highly recommend him!

I take my kids to Brandon Greenwood in American Fork, next to the hospital, called Greenwood Dental, i have always been afraid of dentists too so I completely understand. He is probably mid 30's and great to work with, his nurses are all very nice too, my kids love to go to the dentist, they even have a FREE friendly visit for kids to just come in and get comfy with the dentist chair and the dentist, and they give a free little prize when they go in- that way you can make sure you like him before you even make an appointment.
