Does anyone know what's a good/great/or WOW price on meats (all varities) these days?  I just don't have a reference point to work off of.  Sometimes I see a sale and think it's pretty good only to find out that it could/would have gone cheaper.  Help???

I would like to know as well as my husband is on a low carb diet and eats lots of meat and veggies.  In the past I bought most of my meat from Costco but am just starting out with the coupon thing, so I don't really know what the Grocery stores are capable of when it comes to sales.  Is this something that would show up in the weekly email updates?  Would appreciate any tips from the Pros, thanks!

I ranks these with the rest of the deals.

Typically any roast/steak $1.99 and under is a WOW! (Crossrib, chuck or round)

The best deal on chicken in utah county is $1.49 boneless, skinless lately and $0.99 bone-in.

Can anyone tell me which is the best store to get chicken breasts (skinless, boneless)- quality wise?  Last year I bought chicken breasts at Maceys in the huge 40lb. box.  It was not the best of selection to say the least.  The price was good but the meat was too tough.  No matter how I tried marinating and/or cooking it I couldn't get it to tenderize and seem less "chewy".  Has anyone tried Harmons, Smiths or Albie's chicken?  I prefer Maceys because of their price but for the quality on this particular item, I'm willing to drive out of my way to get it.  Maybe it's the brand and not a store issue?  Maybe Maceys brand is different than what the other stores put on their shelves??

Thanks Savvy, that's exactly what I wanted to know.  I will keep an eye out for those prices and stock up when I see them.  I just went to Smith's today and got a 4lb bag of Kroger frozen boneless/skinless for $7.96, so now I know that is a decent price, if not the best! Smiley
