I know this is totally off topic, but I saw a news report the other day that said putting a small fan in your child's room can decrease the risk of SIDS by over 70% (Something about keeping the air moving in the room) icon_thumleft Also giving your child a pacifier reduced the rates of SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome).

That is interesting to hear. My daughter is 6 1/2 months old and for months I have used a fan in her room. Not on her, just blowing toward the wall. Not sure why I did it but after reading this I am glad I did. You never know... This is one of my biggest fears I have had with all of my kids. Not to mention she loves her binkie!
