I'm a little confused by all the coupon/rebate combos there seem to be available at Walgreens. A couple questions:
1. If I have 5 manufacturer coupons that I want to combine with a Walgreens in-store coupon (the kind that are in the Sunday Walgreens ad), do I need 5 Walgreens in-store coupons, or can I just cut out one and use it with all my manufacturer coupons?
You only need one of the Walgreens coupons per transaction and it will apply to all that you buy.
2. What is the deal with the Easy Saver Catalog? Are the coupons different than the ones in the Sunday ads? And again, would you need to pick up more than one Easy Saver catalog if you wanted to get more than one of a product that was on sale?
Yes, the Easy Saver coupons are different than the ones in the Sunday ad. These are good during the whole rebate period, and I've found that the items that there are coupons for in the booklet, go on sale most of the time (if not all the time) during the rebate period. You also only need one of these coupons per transaction even if you buy more than one item (the discount will be taken off each item). Also, the Walgreens I've been to just scan the coupon in the book...I don't even need to cut it out.
3. Last question, I had a $3 register reward that I tried to use on my last purchase at Walgreens and the cash register wouldn't accept it. Does anyone know why that might be? My total was way over $3, so I don't know why I couldn't use it and neither did the cashier checking me out.
If there weren't any restrictions on the coupon (if you were buying items that were okay to use it on) the cashier probably wasn't pushing the right button(s) before they scanned it. I would maybe ask her to ask for help because it should work if you're not buying any prohibited items...you should be able to use it like cash.
I know I could probably get these questions answered at Walgreens, but the cashier I did try to ask last time didn't seem to know much about their coupons and register rewards and was about as confused as I was...so I thought I'd try the Pros here!
Thanks!
Thanks for asking the questions. I'm sure they'll help other people as well! Hope I answered your questions. If not, let me know...and if anyone else has anything to add please do.
