I need to do some major stocking up on canned goods for food storage, but have we already passed up the best time for that (like case lot sales)?  I have heard that most case lot sales are in the summer, so will I need to wait until then to get the best deals?  I'm pretty new at couponing, so I'm assuming that case lot sales are the best deals available, but are there better deals out there through coupons and regular sales?  The canned goods I'm looking for are things like canned soup, meat, beans, veggies, baking stuff, etc.

Maceys still has a few case items on sale... you might want to check there for canned goods.

It's holiday baking time in the coming weeks, so you can count of 'baking' items being on sale during the holidays. Kohler's in Lehi has brown sugar this week for .99c/2# which is better than the case lot sales of a couple of weeks ago.
