Question on EasySaver rebate from Walgreens
«

Walgreens is offering a $5 rebate if you buy 4 bags of the Holiday M&M's. The notes for this rebate in the EasySaver catalog say "Rebate limit $5". Does anyone know if that means I can only get that rebate once, or, is the rebate issued per transaction (like if I bought 4 more bags on a separate receipt could I get another $5 rebate)? I asked the cashier and she thought that would work, but I thought I would check here too. I wanted to use the M&M's for neighbor gifts but would need to get more than four bags.
Thanks!

if it says the rebate is $5, and that the rebate limit is $5 it means you can only do it once. You can buy more bags of candy, but you'll only get $5 back for this rebate period.

My question is not about rebates but about the Wag's ESR book... I really want to know what it is I should do and what my options are.
So I read online yesterday about the Bic Soleil Shavers or Cartridges Deal:
$6.99/2 (B1G1)
-$3.00 off IVC in Nov. book
-$3.00 off Manuf Coupon X 2 (for the 2 items)
= $2.01 overage
So I went tonight before the Nov. book expires and spoke to the cosmetics lady who was really nice and she said I could take how ever many I had coupons for so I grabbed 16 shavers and 12 cartridges. I also saw that the 4-packs were on sale for $5.79 so I grabbed 12 of those:
Sale Price: $5.79
-$3.00 IVC
-$3.00 Manuf Coupon
= $0.21 overage
I stood in line and I could see the cashier eyeing me down. When I finally got up to the counter, I placed the Nov. ESR book down so I could start unloading my cart and right off she told me that she could only scan the Wag's coupon ONCE because it was Limit 1 ONLY! I asked her to call a manager. She says, "I need you up here", then she whispers, "I can't say!"
I could feel myself getting hot! He got there and he looked at the stuff I had and said he'd run the coupon for however many items I have left as long as I put some back and he began to go through my stuff and put back nearly half saying I don't want to deal with 10 angry customers tomorrow! I was enraged.
He did not scan the Wag's coupon enough times, nor did all of my manufacturer's coupons get scanned. Instead of having an overage, I paid $8.00!!!
I just want to know what I should do...HELP!!!? (refund, exchange, what???)

I would go back in and talk to someone else, or the same guy! Their not going to be able to give you your coupons back, but I'd atleast want the money that I was owed! And I was looking over the ad, but I couldn't find where the BOGO comes from, where did you find it?
Good luck!

How did you get 40 coupons?
Well, I usually buy 15 daily double papers ($2/2) which gives me double the coupons (=30 of each kind). The single shavers had a coupon (30-16) and while the cartridges and 4-packs were included on one, I could 1 for each item (30-24). Did that make sense? My head hurts!!!

Walgreens is stricter on coupons than grocery stores are. Usually the walgreens coupon (including ESR) has quantity limits, so you need to abide by it to get the most bang out of your buck. I think the managers get aggravated because they have tons of coupon shoppers trying to take advantage of the coupons. Hope that helps you in the future.

Yes, that makes sense! I will not go back, it may make things worse! Thanks for clarifying that up for me.

Every Sunday you can find "Daily Doubles" in grocery stores/gas startions or even walmart if you'd rather buy on Saturday seeing you're a BYU fan you probably don't shop on Sundays. It includes a copy of the Daily Herald and a copy of the SL Tribune (am I allowed to mention this on here?) bound together with a rubberband and has a big blue paper that says daily double on it. it costs $2 for the bundle and because you have 2 papers you will have 2 sets of coupons X the number of bundles you buy. I buy anywhere from 15 - 20 bundles every Saturday/Sunday.

Just remember that if you purchase newspapers from a news stand they are not guaranteed to have coupons. Coupons are always sent to subscribers first, then put in the papers in news stands. They almost always have them there, but they are not guaranteed.

Thanks for posting! Are these available in Utah County as well? What a great idea. I'm going to look for these DD. Good luck at Walgreens. I went to 8th N in Orem to get the Diaper Deal a couple weeks ago and the manager would not let me use the $2 coupon in the pharmacy pamphet, she said it was a double discount. I bought the diapers anyway
Then I went to the 8th south Walg and they did let me use it. The discount was being announced over the speaker at both stores, she let me buy as many as I wanted, on one receipt, even though the limit was 4. I was buying them to donate to the food bank. When I went back to 8th N to return the 4 I bought there the same manager was called to do the return and asked why I was returning them and I told her that she wouldn't give me the coupon savings and the 8th S store did. She asked who the manager was that would not let me. I told her it was her. She didn't say anything else, but then acted like I was trying to get something dishonest or something. Ugh!

This is true...(thanks for the reminder), but the ones that are bundled together advertise the fact that there are coupons in those and how good of a deal it is so I would think that they make sure the coupons are in those. I've never had one without coupons that has been bundled together.
The other ones that you buy separately, I always double check that they have the coupons in them because sometimes they are not.
Most of the grocery stores carry the early Sunday paper...sometimes when I'm in the store on a Saturday I'll grab one for a "sneak peak" or if I know there are suppose to be good coupons in them. If there are I might buy a few more.
