I just have to say that I've really enjoyed the "coupon culture" this week as I've made a couple of trips out to Albertson's late at night.  It's like a wierd kind of sisterhood to see other women pushing their carts with their burgeoning binders in the seat.  They all seem to be so nice and helpful to each other. Almost every time I go out I see some kind couponer leave behind a coupon on the shelf or in the dairy case because they couldn't use them all and wanted to pass them on to someone else.  Instead of stumbling over my feet to bend down and pick up a lost nickel, I pick up a dollar coupon, or a free container of dog food.  I love it! Ladies handing extras to each other. Offering sage wisdom, clarification, enthusiasm, and encouragement to keep getting better and smarter at it.  Ain't it GRAND?  There truly is "enough and to spare."  Cheesy

My husband HATES shopping. If I want to put him in a bad mood, I just drag him shopping with me...except now he likes going grocery shopping with me cause he gets jazzed about seeing me "buy" 10 things of Right Guard and only hand over 63 cents for them.  You can see the mathematical wheels turning in his head as he's trying to figure out how we can do that 999,000 more times so that we can become millionaires. Hysterical. Never thought I'd see that day.

<3  I love it too!  I was out last night and saw a couple of couponers while in line.  I think it's SO fun to run into other people who do coupons and tell them about savvyshopperdeals, or watch them get a ton of groceries for next to nothing!  I always get behind people in line who have a ton of coupons just to "see how they do" even when another check stand frees up I like to stay and watch the madness. Me too!  I love chatting with others at the store and seeing what they're buying.  And I love sharing deal ideas with other people there too, especially those who don't coupon (because they always look so amazed and appreciative).  I love handing people a coupon I'm not going to use when I'm in line and see that someone else could use.  Is it just me or are there a TON more couponers now?  I'm up in Davis County and felt like I was in my own little coupon world, but it's not the case anymore.  It's like it's a cool coupon craze now, and it didn't used to be...I used to feel kind of embarassed whipping out my coupons at the store, but now it's just normal.

I love it too.  At first I thought it would be embarrasing to carry around that big binder, but now I carry around a thing of post-it notes with me because of all the people who are excited and amazed to see how organized I am!  (I really am not, it's just the savvy shopper binder)  So I give them a post it with the savvy shopper web address on it, and they go away smiling.

Getting great deals also makes me a much more cheerful shopper.  Wink And I notice the great things that the cashiers do at the Albertson's I shop at too. Last night, without me even knowing it, the cashier scanned a tuna coupon for me. (she told me afterwards) And while I watched her deal with the customer before me she says "Do you have your double coupons? Oh good. You do. Now you can save a lot of money."  She was really sweet.
