I usually don't look much at the deals on clothes (since we're students and don't buy many). But my hubby just got an interview with MS State next week and we need to find him some duds that will WOW a few professors. Does anybody know of any good deals going on right now for men's dress shirts and/or suits? I could also use the name of a good and fast alterations shop. Thanks in advance for the help!

Try Kohl's.  I was in today and picked up some tie on clearance for $8.40 (plus 30% off for my charge card).  I heard a lady talking on the phone to someone, telling them dress shirts were $16.xx.  Good Luck!!!

Yeah, try Kohls. They have long sleeved dress shirts for as low as $3.60 Just look for the clearance shelves where they put the out of season colored shirts. If all else fails, you could try DI. Good luck!

If you're needing a suit, I'd try Mr. Mac or Men's Wearhouse.  It seems like they always do a buy one suit get one free, equaling out to $125 each.  And if he only wants one maybe he has a friend that he could split the deal with or something.  My husband and his dad usually end up buying suits together, for that reason.  The only time I've seen suits less than $125 each is at the Missionary Mall, but my husband didn't love the one he got there, although he got a bunch of ties there for pretty cheap that he's really liked.

I usually get really nice shirts and pants on clearance at Costco.  It's not all the time, but I have gotten dress shirts for $6-$8, and pants for $10.  It's especially nice if your husband is an odd size- say 40X28, or 30X30- for some reason they have plenty of those sizes. he, he, he.

We bought my husband's suit at DI and it is fantastic. Unfortunately- there are no guarantees that you will find something at DI, but you are guaranteed an adventure! There are several DI's around Utah and Salt Lake Valley to check out.

Also, if you REALLY want to save money, you could borrow from a friend who is a similiar build and has good taste in clothes. Good luck with the interview!

My husband is really tall which makes finding deals slightly more difficult. I like Burlington Coat factory they have good deals on dress clothes. They often have clearance items all the way up to xxl/xxlt. Good luck on the interview Smiley

Try Pierre Phillipe's in Lehi.  It is next to Osmond furniture and he is a Master TAILOR. His suits are amazing quality (his brother sells them for TONS more in Vegas) and they are VERY Very reasonably priced!!!
