The Savvy Shopper grocery saving program shows you how to make a well-rounded grocery trip.
I highlight not only the best coupon deals, but all the good deals at the store, including meats, produce, dairy, non-foods and beverages in a bi-weekly e-mail.
This list is very helpful when choosing where to shop each week. I recommend making your weekly grocery trip to that store that has the most sale items your family needs. Each shopping trip, you should be purchasing items for your long-term storage needs as well as those perishables needed to create meals.
My shopping list is usually very small each week. I create my menus for the week, write down any additional ingredients needed to create those menus and then include the sale items I want to purchase. I am continually working on supplementing my pantry and store room.
By shopping at that one store that has the most sale items your family needs, you are saving time. In addition, you are helping out the store. I like to "reward" that store I am shopping at. I go through the store and purchase not only some of the deals, but also my produce, milk, meats, cheeses and breads that I need for the week.
It is very important that we are considerate of the stores as well as other shoppers. That might mean leaving items on the shelves for other shoppers as well as not getting carried away with an amazing sale. I have learned that there are always going to be deals to be found down the road. The Savvy Shopper grocery saving program emphasizes not only saving time and money, but also being conscientious of both the local grocery stores and fellow shoppers.
