Put the Savvy Shopper's program to the test PDF Print E-mail

Does the Savvy Shopper grocery saving program really work? Does it help you save money at the grocery store? Does it help you save time? Does it help you build up a usable food storage or pantry?

The principles of the Savvy Shopper grocery saving program have changed my life. My shopping habits have changed as well as the size of my pantry. My once-a-week major grocery trip, with a large bill to go with it, has now changed to simply purchasing perishables and items needed to supplement my pantry.

I went from little usable food storage to an extensive and plentiful pantry with a variety of items. Instead of running to the grocery store, or sending my husband for a last-minute ingredient on the way home from work, I can now shop my pantry.

I believe many readers would be interested in following the progress of a family as it implements the principles of the Savvy Shopper grocery saving program.

With that in mind, I am introducing two contests.

For the first, I will select one family that is currently not using the Savvy Shopper program who is willing to be tracked for six months. During those six months, family members will share their successes, pictures of their pantry, and receipts. In return, they will receive a complimentary Daily Herald subscription of five Sunday-only newspapers.

If you would like to participate, please write, by Jan. 15, stating why your family should be selected.

The second contest will involve current subscribers. For six months we will track your successes and receipts. Each month you will be responsible for submitting your receipts. The person who saves the most at the end of the six months will receive a six-month subscription of the Savvy Shopper Coupon Subscription Package. I will accept as many families as are interested in participating; simply submit your contact information via e-mail or letter by Jan. 15.

For more information on my free program, call 344-2923 or e-mail , or write The Savvy Shopper, 1555 N. Freedom Blvd, Provo, UT 84604.
