| Use your pantry to go beyond the usual recipe |

There are probably items in your pantry that you can use in different ways than perhaps you have thought of. For instance, I needed to take a dessert to a party recently. I used two of the Betty Crocker Muffin Mixes that I purchased for 20 cents each. I used the recipe on the back of the box for quick bread and doubled the recipe. I poured the batter into a Bundt pan and drizzled lemon glaze over the top while it was still warm from the oven. From my two boxes of muffin mix, I created a delicious Lemon Poppyseed Cake. If you have quite a few cake mixes in your pantry from when they were 35 cents each, you might be interested in how to use the cake mixes for something different than a sheet cake. This recipe for Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies tastes as good as the ones you buy in a bakery, and for a lot less money! Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies w Boxed Spice Cake Mix w 15 ounce can of pumpkin w nuts (optional) w chocolate chips Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl. Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto a lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake 10 to 12 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool two to three minutes on cookie sheet before removing to a nonstick rack to cool.
