Benefits to couponing keep adding up in the budget
There are many reasons to get into couponing -- to save money, to build up a usable pantry, to save time, and to provide security and peace of mind to name a few.
There are a couple more reasons that make now the time to get into couponing.
First, the price of gas and second, the projected increase in heating bills this coming winter.
These two price increases can add up to a hefty hit to the pocketbook, wallet, and budget.
The place in your budget to look at for help is the grocery and household expenses portion. The grocery budget has the most "play" in it -- you can cut down in this area without feeling the pinch, when you start using the Savvy Shopper grocery saving program.
Not only does using coupons save you a significant amount of money, you are able to get at least two to three times the amount of groceries as you would if you purchased things at regular or even sale prices.
I often hear people say that couponing takes too much time, does not add up to much savings, and the biggest one -- that people just don't use the items that coupons are issued for.
Some of the name-brand items we have gotten for great prices, and for less cost than the store brand, include toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, toilet paper, paper plates, tissues, canned tomatoes, canned beans, yogurt, milk, cereal, taco shells, canned soup, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, shaving cream, razors, cleaning supplies, dishwasher soap, cake mixes, and cold medicine.
Yes, there are coupons for processed food and items I just won't use. But, there are also many many other items for items that we all use.
Now is the time to take the leap and start exploring the tremendous savings opportunities available with the use of coupons.
Each week I send out a free bi-weekly deals e-mail giving you the best deals at local grocery and drug stores. Using this information, you can see significant savings at the grocery store, allowing you to not lessen the pinch of rising heating and gasoline prices.
