Using coupons to help local schools PDF Print E-mail

Is it worth it to print off manufacturer's coupons from the Internet to use at the grocery store?

Absolutely.

In fact, during a recent General Mills promotion at Albertsons, I was able to get six free boxes of General Mills cereal by using printable coupons from the Internet.

I want you to save money at the grocery store, and will help you find the best deal with a manufacturer's coupon -- whether from the Daily Herald Sunday coupon inserts, or from an online Web site.

You can only print a certain number of like coupons, usually two, and it is illegal to make copies of these coupons.

There are many Web sites with manufacturer coupons. These include:

Boxtops4education.com

Boodle.com

Coolsavings.com

Save.com

Bettycrocker.com

Pillsbury.com

BigGCerealClub.com

Smartsource.com

This week, Albertsons is teaming up with local schools to help raise money for our schools through the Box Tops for Education program.

Albertsons has put together an ad that will offer great prices on General Mills products. Not only will you be able to participate in a terrific sale, you will be helping local schools with your purchase of products with the Box Top logo.

I will include the prices and deals of this fantastic sale in the Wednesday edition of the Savvy Shopper bi-weekly deals e-mail. Many coupons from the Daily Herald Sunday coupon inserts from Oct. 2 will be utilitzed for this sale as well as coupons from the above-mentioned Web sites.

Let's join together to help our schools and save money at the same time!
