Other ways to save money PDF Print E-mail

When you start to save a significant amount at the grocery store, it opens up your mind to saving money on many of your other purchases. Once you start saving money in one area of your budget it is eye-opening to see the possibilities of saving money overall.

I try not to spend more than I have to for everything I purchase. Watch for money-saving coupons in your mailbox, in the newspaper, on the Internet, etc. For instance, I go through all the Val-Pak and Money Mailer coupons that come in my mailbox. You can save on many things -- from drycleaning to haircuts. Make sure you have a place to put these coupons so you will remember to use them.

You don't need to feel cheap when you use coupons. Companies are trying to attract your business. These coupons are basically advertisements and are issued as an incentive to get you in their establishment. It is worth it to the business to give you a discount -- if you enjoy the service or product they provide they can win your loyalty and you will become a return customer. If I am impressed by a business, I may also refer my friends and family.
