Hey Ladies!

This year as a fund raiser my husband's national guard unit is doing a Cake Auction.  I wanted to see if anyone would be willing to donate their time and talent and make a cake for the auction.  It is to be held at Camp Williams on November 7th.  If you're interested then send me either a PM or an email to srokeef@yahoo.com

Thanks! Smiley

This is one of the cakes we had donated last year. Smiley

I would love to make one.  I have been playing with cake decorating for a couple of years now...  Would I need to be there on the day?  How do I get the cake to you or to the place of the auction?  Is there a theme they would like for the cake?

Hey Ale!  I can come and pick it up from you either the day of or the day before.  If you'd like to come to the auction and see how the cake does, you are more than welcome to stay for dinner and check it out. Smiley  And any theme will do!  I wish I could figure out how to post this picture I took from last year's auction.  We had a teddy bear cake dressed in camouflage holding an American Flag.  The cake sold for $240!!  The unit and their families will be the primary buyers of the cakes, and military themed cakes do seem to go better, however... If you had a little girl and she saw a cute little princess cake, she'd totally want it! Wink

Thanks Ale!  The cake was absolutely beautiful, unfortunately my husband took pictures of all the cakes and the angle wasn't the most flattering... So I decided not to post it, but the cake was stunning, and it sold for $155!!  Way to go!! Smiley
