It's a BOY!!!

How do the name brand and generic seasoning packets compare?  I am mostly wondering about enchilada sauce mix, fajita seasoning and taco seasoning.  I haven't ever tried the store brand, I am usually able to stock up when there is an awesome sale on them, but am getting low.

I think they taste just fine. I use to buy the generic all the time. I sometimes still do. I've never tried the enchilada seasoning though.

Western Family is my favorite Seasoning brand as well. I will only use their taco seasoning for my beef. I stocked up about a year ago when they were 3/88 cents! I love the stuff!

I have tried other enchilada sauces and I prefer McCormick, but I will eat the others, mostly kroger brand, they aren't bad. As far as other seasonings go I think the generics are just as good and are what I usually purchase except for sloppy joe seasoning which again I think the McCormick is better.

I haven't noticed a difference in Taco seasoning. I think they are pretty similar. As for enchilada seasoning I don't really like seasoning packets. It's so easy and inexpensive to do your own with tomato sauce and spices. You should try it. The kind of seasoning I put in my own are chili powder/garlic powder/pepper etc. but what really makes it good is cummin.

Hope this helps. Wink
